Bristle Personal Finance
A personal budgeting tool used only by its owner, Andrew Bristle.
What it is
This is a private, non-commercial project. It shows its owner how his day-to-day spending compares with a personal budget, using transactions from his own checking, savings and credit card accounts.
It is not a service. There is no sign-up, and it is not available to anyone else.
How it uses financial data
- Accounts are connected through Plaid, only with the owner's explicit consent in Plaid Link.
- It reads account details and transactions, to show spending against a budget.
- Data is stored only on the owner's private home server, encrypted at rest, and reachable only from the owner's home network.
- Data is never sold, shared or disclosed to anyone.
- Disconnecting an account revokes Plaid's access and deletes its data.
